Pastor John Harding
Reverend John Harding
John has a passion for the Lord, for youth and sports. With his wife Piper he has built a growing youth ministry and undertaken five youth mission trips. He is looking forward to more in the coming years. He grew up in Cordova and knows the community well. Coupled with serving as the varsity volleyball coach at Cordova High School (his team won the State Championship in 2005), John has the skills and knowledge necessary to meet new needs and works to reach new goals. He hopes to add an adult mission trip to the agenda soon. John has pastored the church since 2000. Prior to that time he served as Assistant Pastor. He graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California in June 1999 where he was a seminary intern at Calvary Community Church. He was commissioned as a missionary in the summer of 2003. He is married to Piper and has one son Luke and one daughter Zoe.

Susan Harding
Susan Harding
Susan first came to Cordova in the summer of 1961 and worked with the Christian Center. When she and Richard moved to Cordova in 1975, it was natural for her to become the director of the Christian Center. Susan also taught school in Cordova for 20 years and now directs the Dual Credit Program for the School District and works for the local community college. She has taken on a new role as "Peachy," Luke's grandma, and enjoys having him in her Sunday School class and the Children's ministry of the church. Of course she enjoys having Zoe in Childrens Church on Sunday Evenings too. She's grandma to the four other grandchildren who currently live in El Paso, Texas.

Piper Harding
Piper Harding
Piper's vocal talents are a special gift to the ministry at the church. Piper leads the contemporary Sunday evening service complete with band in worship and along with John leads the youth in their weekly meetings and their Bible Study on Wednesday mornings. Piper spends a lot of time encouraging Luke and helping John and of course taking care of Zoe who was born in December 2005. When she does have free time, she likes to scrapbook and has held a special retreat for the girls in the youth group in which they made prayer journals. She has also planned several special scrapbooking nights for women and girls at the HomePort which are always a big success. She plans many more. Piper was commissioned as a missionary in the summer of 2003.

Gayle Groff
Gayle teaches school in Cordova and also works extensively in the music department of the church. She helps plan the music for the 11:00 AM service, sings with the band for the 7:00 PM service and works with John and Piper to lead Bible studies for the youth. Gayle has one grown daughter, Stephanie.
